Why I have not been reading

2:00am - Feed the boy. Re-swaddle. Back to sleep.
4:00am - Feed the boy. Re-swaddle. Back to sleep.
6:00am - Feed the boy. Re-swaddle. Back to sleep. Wishful thinking. Get up to put dummy back in every 20 minutes.
7:00am - Give up trying to make him go back to sleep. Make Paul change the boy. Bring him into our bed, where he laughs at us for about an hour.
8:00am - Re-swaddle. Boy goes to sleep, we get up. Paul goes to work. Breakfast**. Check email. Shower.
9:45am - Feed the boy. Change the boy, put pooed-on clothes in the nappy bucket. Re-dress the boy. Play with the boy.
11:15am - Re-swaddle. Boy goes to sleep. Pay bills. Fill up nappy bucket with soaking stuff. Empty nappy bin and kitchen bin.
12:00pm - Feed the boy. Change the boy. Re-dress the boy again, put pooed-on clothes in the nappy bucket. What's with escaping poo today? Play with the boy.
1:20pm - Re-swaddle. Boy goes to sleep. Lunch, put on load of washing, attempt to silently unload dishwasher.
2:15pm - Feed the boy. Change the boy. Give the boy a bath. Go for a walk to the shops to buy wine and stuff for dinner.
4:00pm - Re-swaddle. Boy goes to sleep. Reload dishwasher. Express milk to store. Wash and sterilise pump. Hang up load of washing.
5:00pm - Feed the boy. Paul comes home. Boy plays with his dad while I put dinner on.
6:30pm - Last feed of the day. Hurriedly pour wine.
6:45pm - Re-swaddle. Boy goes to sleep. Eat dinner. More wine. Open book.
7:00pm - Can't keep eyes open. Put on tv instead.
9:00pm - Bed.
2:00am - Feed the boy....

I think all is forgiven when u become a mother, or at least it should b...remember how previously we said 'hormones' is the universal answer to all conundrums? I believe u can now answer with, 'becoz I'm a mother' instead =)

Ah, that brought back so many memories THAT I STILL DON'T WANT TO RELIVE! Well, maybe just a little...but without the sleep deprivation!
